Oh Say Can You Sangria

Get a taste of Baja at Zarco.

Zarco Comida de Baja
277 3rd Avenue
Chula Vista

You're about to be swimming in stuffing and drowning in holiday fixins.

But first, take a trip that leaves you wanting nothing but seconds at Zarco, new to Chula Vista’s 3rd Avenue Shopping District. The uber authentic resto specializes in grub from the great Baja peninsula and will have you ordering like you're still south of the border. Try the Arroz a la Montada with chipotle and pasilla pepper rice topped with a mound of clams, mussels, shrimp and local fish, or opt for Pulpa Asado - grilled octopus, sautéed wild mushrooms and brown pintos. The pasilla gelato dessert is vanilla, pepper-infused and served with a sauce of local berries. Paired with wines sourced soley from the Baja peninsula, the spot really delivers.

Hurry now before you get side-swiped by a gravy boat.

Tidbits tip: Wednesday night is  One Dollar Oyster and Three Dollar Sparkling night.
