While sifting through the racks of vintage sweaters, delicate linens and tea party china at The Vintage Laundry, you’ll get a feeling reminiscent of playing dress up as a little girl. Back then, putting on popsicle red lipstick and shuffling around in high heels the size of small boats was all it took to feel like a grown up. But this time what you put on can be worn out of the house without permission.

Operating from a Victorian house built in the early 1900s, Vintage Laundry is like an adult-sized dollhouse where you’ll find gifts for any female on your list – monogrammed napkins, unique jewelry and vintage style furniture. The owner, LeAnn Stephenson, a self-proclaimed one woman show, also offers design consultation services and a work room to customers wanting to reupholster existing pieces.

Browse around, buy yourself something pretty and then treat yourself to a long-island iced tea party. Permission granted.

Be on the lookout for plans to expand her collection as well as launch a larger furniture line later this summer!
