For all of you adventurous gals on the go, consider a weekend trip to Boerne. This charming town is an hour and a half southwest of Austin, and may be just what an Austin girl needs to get into gear for some holiday shopping.

Here’s a peek at some of our top picks:

Boutiques:

Ella Blue – Our favorite! This sweet spot hits the mark and skips the snootiness. Find the latest coveted Joes, Citizens or Sevens, and the perfect wow top. We love Ella’s funky, girly lines! Check it out:
Virgins, Saints & Angels (www.vsadesigns.com)
Hale Bob (www.halebob.com)
Voom (www.voombyjoyhan.com)
Passport Panties (www.passportpanties.com)

Also, don’t miss The Alley on Main and Celeste for clothing, gifts and accessories.

Food and Drink:

The Boerne Grill (www.mainstreetboerne.com/dailygrind) – Get your morning going at this local favorite coffee shop and grill, formerly The Daily Grind.

Cypress Grill – Boots and stilettos alike can pair up in this upscale yet intimate ambience. We live for the venison filet.

The Creek – Dine creek-side at this foodie haven. The pecan pie is worth the splurge.

The Cellar on Main – Embrace the feeling of cellar chic at this spot for people-watching and vino-sipping.

Sleep:

Ye Kendall Inn (www.yekendallinn.com) – Experience a true time warp at this quaint lodge off Main Street.
