We’re all trying to make an effort to “go green” and lead an eco-friendly lifestyle, but why not have a little fun and really Go Gruene while you’re at it? After all, with a short trip down I-35, your carbon footprint calculator will be thanking you.

SHOP
Be sure to pick up a kitschy souvenir or something for your sweet tooth at the Gruene General Store. From homemade fudge to soda fountains, this place is a must-see.

Get in good spirits at The Grapevine, where you’ll find specialty beers, cigars and wine accessories.

EAT
Enjoy Texas-style dining at the Gristmill River Restaurant and Bar. This cotton gin turned restaurant will make your mouth water.

Slow your typical fast-paced style and kick back at Janie’s Table. Enjoy Hill Country cuisine at this cafe in the trees.

SLEEP
Forego a hotel and rest your head at the Gruene Mansion Inn. A rustic B & B with only 30 guestrooms makes for an intimate experience.

ENJOY
Shake things up at the legendary Gruene Hall, the oldest, continually operating dance hall in Texas. Live music in a down home setting will make any boots scoot.
