With the absence of a mid-flight snack, the exact cash policy for a cocktail and the $15 fee to check a bag, travel has lost its appeal. There is still one way to reap the benefits of traveling, thanks to the free Texas Winery Passport, which allows you to earn wine-related gifts, like wine glasses and journals, while you sip your way all over Texas.

The way it works: after visiting the winery of your choice, enter the winery code into your passport. After racking up a code from four different wineries, visit www.gotexanwine.org and click on the “Passport Rewards” logo to receive your handsome rewards. The more you wine, the more travel rewards you get, and with over 160 wineries in Texas, the bennies are bountiful. The passport also has space to record your tasting notes.

On these trips you can take in all of the liquid you can handle.
