Our theory on why French women don’t get fat…they tend to eat in front of other people. It’s hard to wolf down an entire block of brie when someone is sitting a cafe table away.

Succumb to the French-way of wining and dining during the new Salon Style dinner series hosted by Danika Boyle, proprietor of Petite Peche & Co.. This local boutique culinary travel company and cooking studio, known for bringing groups to Provence to experience joie de cooking, is now offering monthly dinners in a refurbished East Austin church. Think four-courses paired with surprise musical performances—ever dined while being serenaded by Bob Schneider? No promises, but you never know who might show up. The salons are limited to 40 attendees at $70 per person. BYOB.

Break bread with others…and don’t stuff an extra piece of baguette in your clutch for later.
