Happy Friday from your friends at Austin Tidbits! We’ve got another fun announcement, so we decided to share it in a bonus Tidbit this week.

Along with our expansion to San Antonio, we have just launched New Orleans Tidbits, and we’re super-excited about it! Who doesn’t love a city where you can grab a go-cup on the way out of the bar? Check out just a few of the reasons we’ve chosen the Crescent City as our Louisiana love interest, and please show us some southern hospitality and tell your Big Easy buds about us.

SHOP
In New Orleans, playing dress up is a nightly affair. Find yourself some kitschy duds at the Ragin’ Daisy (map). This adorable thrift shop specializes in vintage clothing from every era. From rock n’ roll glam circa the 70s to pin-up girl skirts and tops, you’ll get lost in this super fun stop in the Quarter.

EAT
Shell out some extra cash and enjoy a meal at Broussards. With a menu of delicious dishes such as crabmeat crepes and oysters Rockefeller, this legendary spot is a fave to visitors and locals alike. After your “worth every calorie” meal, grab a cocktail in the charming courtyard while listening to some good ol’ Nola jazz.

STAY and SIP
The best place to rest your head after a long night of partying is at the Hotel Monteleone. This grand hotel with its plush-meets-regal decor is worth every penny. Be sure to have a nightcap at the Carousel Piano Bar and Lounge. Note: the bar actually does spin. It’s not just you.
